February Is Black History Month - Enter to Win Our Book Package

February is Black History Month. Last fall, we participated with our friends Bravo Niagara, in The North Star Festival: Voices of Freedom. And we're so glad we did!

We learned so much about the rich history of the Niagara Region and of The Underground Railroad and the stalwart determination of those oppressed slaves who risked their lives to reach Canada - to reach freedom - following The North Star. We also learned about those who risked their lives to help them along their journey and others who helped them settle into their new lives.

We also learned that we are embarassingly ignorant of the rich black history of Canada. So we've decided to learn more AND to celebrate!

So, we decided to have a contest to win
The Book of Negroes

The illustrated edition containing photos, works of art and documents that inspired Lawrence Hill to write his award-winning novel. We've added a lovely tea infuser mug and two packages of delicious teas.
